Celtic Shamanism - The Native Irish Tradition

Fáilte – Welcome to Slí An Chroí - “the pathway of the heart”,

our website for indigenous shamanic practitioner training, professional shamanic healing training, personal shamanic healing, a directory of certified shamanic healers in Ireland, (energy medicine and shamanic counselling) as well as a deep resource for the Irish tradition of Spiritual wisdom and mysticism through Nature, which is ancient and contemporary, pre-Celtic and Celtic.

This sacred way of living and healing is the dedication of our professional and personal lives, we bid you a warm welcome and an informative visit to our site. From offering an introduction to our tradition through to providing a centre for community, we see the retrieval of a heart-centred consciousness as intrinsic to holistic health and vital in all our lives at this particular time in our world.

We gather international groups of shamanic practitioners in Ireland and we venture into fieldwork and expeditions abroad with student groups to expand our development, share traditions, dream powerful ceremonies for Mother Earth and celebrate a worldwide community of shamanic practitioners.

2020: New Year - New Decade - New Vision

In the rising Light between Winter Solstice (2019)

and Imbolg (2020), Slí An Chroí is germinating

new seeds for the new calendar year and decade.

The visibility and sharing of new Shamanic Life

will blossom brightly in the coming Spring.

Winter Solstice last year marked the beginning of a significant transition for us. After 10 years of leading the ceremonies and parade of the City Of Dublin Winter Solstice Festival, the appropriate time arrived to hand over full production to Smashing Times Theatre Company and TUD (Technical University Dublin). Both have been production partners in recent years. To honour the roots of this festival, we called in the spirit of the event in 2009 when 60 men, women and children gathered around a fire in Smithfield Square to celebrate Winter Solstice. Last December 21st, the candle flame lit by children at dawn at Newgrange that morning was again kept alive for the dusk ceremony on Smithfield Square. Not a wisp of wind entered the circle and 60 candles were lit from the Newgrange flame, each in the energy of vision, manifestation and world prayer. And so began a period of weeks that will dream and create significant changes in how we live and share the blessings of shamanic life and consciousness. To communicate the heart of all we are and all we bring will be a new website and in advance, we appreciate your patience with the current website version as it holds a considerable range of information, some historic some contemporary.

We have been living and sharing Slí An Chroí for over 15 years and the invitation for renewal is firmly embraced at this time in the rising light between Winter Solstice and Imbolg. There is real excitement about the new ways we envisage to share this most ancient of paths of Spirit, Healing and Sovereignty.

Upcoming Events

Throughout the year we continue to facilitate seasonal celebrations, outreach programmes into various environments such as corporate workplaces, schools and universities, community centres, hospitals, hospice and addiction recovery centres.

In Slí An Chroí, we hold integrity, safety and respect as core values in all shamanic practice and healing. When our heart begins to open, heal and find courage to adventure, only then do we step into an experience of humanity that shifts the horizons that once limited us.

Whether through individual healing, training and/or coming into community with us, may you find the connection to your heart and to the greater world that you yearn for.

May Slí An Chroí be a resource for you to step forward into your truth, find sacredness and realise your unique potential.

Le brí na taise – “With the energy of compassion”,

“When we step into shamanic practice, our hearts take us on an epic path of discovery, power and beauty. It is the soul’s ‘journey home’, connecting us to the sacredness and magic of Life. We touch the earth and rise gifted with healing, to become true caretakers of ourselves and of the earth. We see our purpose and come to know the ecstatic joy that rolls like thunder deep in the centre of our being and of all creation. This is the pathway of the heart, “Slí An Chroí.”
