(If you would like to download directions to the centre, please click here. Full Information on location and transport information is at the bottom of this page)
We are immensely pleased to offer a dedicated space for shamanic community in the heart of the old centre of Dublin city. The cobbled Smithfield Square is reknowned for the Horse Fair that still takes place there on the first Sunday of every month. Our centre is located in one of the oldest buildings on the square. Jameson Whiskey Distillers built two large grey stone buildings here, divided by New Church Street. One housed the distillery plant, (now called The Jameson Whiskey Museum) and a second the administration offices, (called The Distillers Building). The latter building which has numerous mature trees in it's grounds, came into private ownership several years ago and we were pleased to locate our centre in a large room there. The current owners have renamed the building recently and it is now officially known as The Smithfield Business Centre@The Distillers Building.
It was a longheld vision by us to offer a much needed space for community, ritual and healing in the centre of our capital. We see shamanic life as a reality in an urban environment as much as in the wilderness. Indeed, the suffocation of connection to Nature by living in an urban environment made the creation of our centre a vital contribution to the shamanic culture of our community. The centre is a sanctuary, a space of rare energy that opens doors within us allowing us to source wholeness, compassion, wisdom and connection. It is a safe place for the hearts of all to be held and filled naturally and freely with the energies of Mother Earth, Father Sky and Great Spirit. Above all, the centre is a place where Life in all it's forms is celebrated.

Chroí Centre is located beside the LUAS Smithfield Stop
on the Red Line. Upon disembarking the LUAS tram, you will see
a wall and railing surrounding The Smithfield Business Centre @
The Distillers Building. This building ,(not to be confused with
the Jameson Distillery Museum Building), is behind the ticket machine
and shelter. In the grounds of The Distillers Building are trees
and car parking. It is a distinctive period building with blue
painted window frames. Walk to the far side of the surrounding
wall/railings and enter the grounds on New Church St. Upon entering
the building, you will see a staircase immediately to your left.
Descend, following the signs for “Sli An Chroí”. By Car: Paid parking is guaranteed
available in the grounds of The Distillers Building (€2/hour)
and on New Church St. (€2.40/hour, €10/day). The car
entrance to the grounds is only from New Church St., as it is a
one way traffic flow, you must enter New Church St., from Bow St.
On street parking is also available and after 7pm, it is free. By Bicycle: There is dedicated bicycle parking to the right of the entrance doors to The Distillers Building. If you are a user of Dublin’s Public Bikes, there is a bike station at The Distillers Building on Smithfield Square, (www.dublinbikes.ie)
If travelling from outside Dublin: The Smithfield LUAS stop is extremely convenient for those arriving by tram and bus. The stop is 2 stops from Heuston Station and 4 stops from Connelly Station, which itself is close to Busaras. If your car route brings you to the Red Cow Roundabout (N7-M50 Junction), you may like to consider using the Park’n’Ride facility and taking the LUAS from the Red Cow to Smithfield. For full information go to: www.luas.ie/page.php?name=Red_Cow_Car_Park_Red_Line.

the building, you will see an stairway on the left. Descend this
stairway and it will end in a hall with wooden double doors to
your left. You will see a Slí An Chroí Sign pointing
to these double doors. Go through these doors and you will find
yourself in another hall. Turn right towards the Ladies and Gents
restrooms and you will see a Slí An Chroí Sign pointing
to the right. As you look to your right, you will see a single
door leading down a red tiled corridor. Walk to the end of this
corridor and the last room on the right is the Sli An Chroí Centre.
If you are more than 5 minutes early for your appointment or workshop,
please relax in the Waiting Area, (see below). Waiting Area: The Waiting Area is a large dedicated, ground floor space for relaxation and refreshment.
